Homestuck by Andrew Hussie

Homestuck is a webcomic that attempts to replicate the style of a text-based adventure. It began in 2009 and ran until 2016, updating sporadically with no planned release schedule. It is over 8000 pages long and features a cast of at least 100 characters, depending on how one counts.
I first began to read Homestuck in the summer after seventh grade, in 2013. I had only read the first few acts (not yet reaching Hivebent, where the trolls are introduced) when I had to go to summer camp. My two best friends that week were also Homestuck fans; a Johnkat shipper among them. He convinced me on the ship, and it's been one of my alltime favorites ever since, although my interest in the comic goes far beyond shipping.
My favorite characters have changed a lot throughout my time in this fandom. I feel like I've grown up with the characters, and after leaving and coming back to the fandom numerous times over the years, there's always something enw to learn about them. My favorite beta kid is Jade, alpha kid is Roxy, beta troll is Eridan, and alpha troll is Kankri.
Homestuck is a story about humanity, as much as it is a story about the adventures of a few kids who play a life altering game and create themselves/their parents. Each character shows us a whole different person who could realistically exist, even the alpha trolls despite being created solely as caricatures. The Homestuck universe spans infinite realities, in which infinite things are canon, and Hussie has (jokingly? seriously? No one knows!) said that everything is canon. Including Dave/Rose in one timeline! Huzzah!
